Jeiron, I have done this for 3 years now. We share a 56k dialup at my office between 3 of us, mostly for email, checking stocks, non-intensive surfing. It won't be fast but you can do it. I used a linux box with ipchains, and used squid as a proxy which seemed to help the surfing speed. At home, I share a dsl connection with a Netgear 311 router which was very easy to set up and has a firewall coded into it. I have heard other people use ICS with on problems, but haven't used it myself. If you are running all windows boxen, ICS may be the way to go. Post Comments |

Hi Jeiron, That shouldnt be that difficult...i would suggest running win2k on the main box. it has ICS built in and is A JOKE to set up for ICS.... if 2k is not an option, i would redcommend using Sygate..actually its not called that anymore i think..its at http://www.sybergen.com i found their prog werked REALLY well.. but its not free unfortunately.. other than that, snowy bunting is right, a linux firewall is probably the cheapest/most efficient...
