I have the 8 port, but it works the same way. Please ask in more detail. Are you wanting to se e the other PC? If so, add NetBEUI to each machines Network adapters and you'll be set....

Yes Suguna,
I want to be able to:
1) access the files from the computers and 2) Print on one computer hooked onto one of the machines.
I would assume: "I WANT TO SHARE MY FILES" and "I WANT TO SHARE MY PRINTER" need to be checked.
I also assume, based on your very kind reply, that I should install the netbui protocol on both.
What else?
Thanks Post Comments |

That's all you have to do. Let me know if you need more help. Do not share your entire hard drive! Only share a "temp" folder on each machine for security purposes.
Then if you want to move files around, you just have to put them in the temp folder. You ca n also map drives to the temp folders so they will auto connect at boot... Post Comments |

NetBui automatically installs, but I have since removed it (per every ISP's instructions) ... any idea how to reinstall netbui?
Thanks! Post Comments |

Go into your NIC card's properties and you will see Install or add or something like that. Then look for Microsoft Protocols and you'll find it in there somewhere... Post Comments |
